lifeNotes 005 - Busyness, Bonding and Big Questions

šŸ’ Amidst a week filled with busyness and chaos, Monday brought a moment of pure grace. My little boy and I went for an afternoon stroll where he took the lead and I simply followed. He guided me block by block, eventually ending up at our local big Tesco. Being completely present and letting him set the path was a quiet reminder of how blessed I am to be his dad.

šŸƒā€āž”ļø This week I have been managing a relentless cycle of household chores and daily errands. It was just pure chaos. This made to realise the finitude of life and kept me reflecting on the fundamental question: What am I actually doing here? Perhaps this is simply the existential crisis of a forty-something man, or perhaps it is a necessary nudge to slow down, think, and realign before moving forward.

šŸ“š I started reading The Castle by Jon Ronson. So far, it is all about a man, his castle, and some weird things happening in it.

🤳 I attended a lecture on social media and its impact on our daily lives. The two key takeaways focused on how these platforms and their algorithms intentionally push us toward ostentation and self-admiration.

ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ Behind the busyness, I am struggling to cope with deep emotional stress and heartache. There is no clear roadmap for navigating this right now, and I often feel unsure of how to proceed. Acknowledging the pain is all I can do for now while taking things one step at a time.
